I've found a way to play movie on your desktop.. Yeah, it will be displayed as your desktop background, and its moving. Before you start, you'll need to have a program call VLC player.
First, open a video using the VLC player. Right click the video, choose open with and then find VLC player. After that, right click on the VLC screen, and choose wallpaper, and its done!
Now that u've set the video as wallpaper, it may appear as wide screen on your desktop, to make it appear "fully" on your dekstop, play with the aspect-ratio until you get your desire video size and dimension
Playing a low quality movie maybe very useless if you are using a huge screen resolution.. But you can apply this with the dreamscene videos, which is the wallpaper for W.Vista that are animated. Choose a high quality video then use it as your desktop, u'll be surprise with the feeling of having a waterfall on your desktop, together with the sound!
